Doyenne of the London Belly Dance scene
Ewa has studied Egyptian oriental dance with international teachers and choreographers in Cairo. She was one of the first to gain a certificate from the Raqia Hassan Intensive Winter Course for Teachers in Cairo. Her signature style bridges traditional dance and the evolving contemporary. While she is deeply engaged in current developments in oriental dance worldwide she retains a strong attachment to Cairo old and new and it is this synthesis, with its passionate and deeply
informed expression, and its emphasis on improvisation, that established her following among dance enthusiasts. She is also known for her dynamic and ongoing development of adapting and expanding classical Egyptian movement to world music in many forms.

John has studied various styles of yoga over the years. In 2005 after moving to London he began studying under various leading Yoga teachers; his biggest inspiration came from Graham Burns and Jeff Phoenix
who introduced a style of flow that was steady and challenging. In 2008 after
suffering from a prolapsed disc and undergoing corrective spinal surgery John
found that Yoga was a stabilising force in life and decided to help others
through difficult times so undertook Teacher Training through The Life Centre;
as an eternal student he has decided to embark on an ISHTA teacher training under
Yoga Master Katrina Repka. John's philosophy is that Yoga should be fun, light
hearted, energetic yet steady; Classes are challenging, fun&lighthearted,

Liezel trained and qualified as a pilates teacher with Body
Control Pilates in Cape Town, South Africa and is registered with Body Control
Pilates in the UK. Pilates for Liezel was a source of healing after a spinal
injury but I soon realised the benefits of pilates while using the mind to
control the muscles and thus the body.
Liezel believes in a dynamic and active approach while still
relaxing the mind, thus releasing tension and stress in the body which is
essential to bring about constructive change in the body.
Vinyasa Flow Teacher
Amanda-Jane (Aj) has
been practicing yoga for more than 7 years and teaching since qualifying in India with
respected teacher Louisa Sear. Inspired by yoga’s ability to change people’s
lives, Aj has recently given up her marketing career to focus on teaching
full-time. She maintains a strong personal practice and is currently furthering
her studies with Claire Missingham on an intensive 10 month Vinyasa teacher
training. Aj encourages her students to experiment with the beautiful yoga
postures to discover their true potential in a safe and supported environment.
Her classes are uplifting, joyous and fun.
Stephanie’s love for yoga and the joys it
brings to everyday life convinced her to leave a career in marketing to teach
full time. Her first teacher training with Sivanada brought her to India where
she fully discovered the magic of yoga and its life changing impact.
Stephanie’s journey then took her to California where she was certified by
Yogaworks and Shiva Rea, later on also assisting Shiva Rea in her practice. Her
teaching style is to guide, support, and empower her students to build strength,
balance, and flexibility from the inside out, through creative and playful
exploration. In parallel with her yoga practice, Stephanie is in the process
of becoming a certified life Coach.
Michelle is an Appleyoga trained teacher and has practised yoga
for over 12 years, exploring many styles of yoga along the way, including
Sivananda, Ashtanga, Iyengar and Vinyasa Flow yoga. Her class includes elements from many of
these styles of yoga, but is mostly influenced by her love for vinyasa flow yoga. Her teaching style is friendly, fun and
informative; there is an opportunity to explore an understanding of
the mechanics of the body and how yoga arises from this; rather than as an
aesthetic art for the external observer.
Michelle teaches with the needs of the
stressed-out, city-living individual in mind; focusing on the synchronization
of breath and mindful movement, helping to bring body, mind and spirit into
alignment. Classes are strong, steady,
and light-hearted; physically challenging, whilst providing the time to deeply
relax, restore and recharge. Michelle is
deeply thankful for all the teachers she has encountered on her yoga journey so

Austeja first encountered yoga as a moving meditation six years ago and since then it has been an on-going inspiring journey towards the discovery of the true self. She found that the fast pace of life where you are being constantly bombarded with messages, encouraged and even forced to compete to get a better job, better life, or just to get on the train during the rush hour made stress and anxiety more common in her daily life. All these factors combined to make it rather impossible to live in peace. Moreover, Austeja was suffering from the severe back ache and was advised by specialists to try yoga. To her surprise she noticed the mental and physical benefits of yoga after just a few sessions, and so continued the practice. Yoga taught Austeja how to stop and rest and breathe... “Since then yoga teachings not just assisted in soothing away mental tensions and increased my flexibility and stamina, but also continue to subtly benefit all aspects of my life.”

teaching is dynamic and offers a physical challenge. She also brings elements

have been practicing Yoga for around 7 years, and been teaching for just over a
year. I learnt about the Art and Science of Vinyasa flow at Yeotown in Devon,

teach Vinyasa Flow, which is a dynamic powerful Yoga built around creative
sequencing and sun salutations, classic standing Asanas and also grounding
floor postures. I build the class around a ‘peak posture’ and every class is
different, as I will focus on a different area of the body. It is physically
challenging and you will get sweaty! I also create a modern soundtrack/playlist
to accompany you through the different paces of the class.
Liz is a British Wheel of Yoga qualified teacher, a
member of REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals), a qualified teacher
of adults in mainstream education (PGCE
Further Ed) and a psychotherapist in training. She has been teaching yoga
for 15 years and working in the field of holistic health for over 25 years! She teaches in an alignment-based flowing
style with a focus on building strength as well as flexibility. She integrates
principles from the various “schools” of
yoga she has studied in depth (including Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin and Iyengar) to
create a class that everyone finds
accessible, enjoyable and personally meaningful. Within the alchemical
mix of Liz's classes there is space for healing, space for creative play, space
to get to know your “inner guru” and space to transcend perceived limitations
(yes, that can be mean challenging!)
Liz passionately believes in the transformational power of
regular yoga practice.
She aims to ensure that each student leaves class with
greater freedom of movement, increased vitality and a sense of body-felt
joy as well as a more focused and calmer mind open to new possibilities.
Liz regularly runs Yoga and Body-Mind Health workshops and
Editor of Tatler: “There is no one who teaches yoga quite like freckled faced Amber Scott
– with grace, calm, statuesque poise and a wisdom of the ancients which
isn’t in the least bit holier-than-thou. Her unique methods, always
done at your own pace, will gently ease away mental stress, tune you in
to your body’s needs, and readjust your posture so you feel stronger and
taller. A rising star, you’ll soon wonder what you did without her’. ”
Vinyassa flow teacher
Lex is accredited by the Yoga Alliance
and has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. Although he has studied with many
teachers, he thinks of Yogi Ram of Rishikesh and Don and Amber Stapleton of The
Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica (formerly of Kripalu) as his main
influences; the former being a very traditional Hatha Guru from the foothills
of the Himalayas and the latter, teachers of interdisciplinary yoga (a blend of
Vinyasa, Yin, Faldenkrais, Somatics, Iyengar and Ashtanga).
His classes incorporate aspects of all
these traditions within a Vinyasa flow context.
Open to both beginners and experienced
students, Lex believes it is very important for the individual to make each
asana an expression of their own body type and state of mind, whilst
encouraging the release of old blockages and limiting thought patterns through
a combination of breath, movement and awareness.
An accredited shiatsu masseur and
hypnotherapist, Lex also has special interest in Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) which
is a mixture of relaxation and deep observational awareness of the breath, body
and mind, all of which are incorporated into his sadhana.
"moving with the grace of a divine
force is as much about falling on your bum as it is about flowing with a
when both are executed and observed with
humility and acceptance, both become the actions of a god". - Lex

for dance and words, not least in her classes! Nikki has been teaching vintage
jazz dances since 2007, specializing in solo Authentic Jazz and Balboa. She
created Hot Jazz Rag in 2012 and works closely with the Kings Cross Hot Club, a
manouche band based in Covent Garden.
