Hatha/Ashtanga Yoga Fusion
There is no need to confine your practice to a particular style of yoga. This class incorporates the ancient and spiritual traditions of hatha yoga and the strength and stamina building of ashtanga.
At the end of the class there will be a guided relaxation, Yoga Nidra (meaning yogic sleep).The benefits of Yoga Nidra are said to equate to three hours of sleep and induce a deep state of peace and well being.
Sunset Yoga
Chandelier and candle light combined with very relaxed tunes will make you forget the day worries and truly enjoy your session. An exhilarating class designed to focus on proper body alignment, attunement with breath, attention and development of a balance of strength, flexibility and endurance. Holding the asanas for longer periods can allow deeper openings, releases of deeply held stress or tension, and release of holding patterns in the musculature that lead to better alignment of muscles, bones and nerves. All levels welcomed.

In this class students will be guided
through a grounding and empowering Vinyasa Krama practice, with an emphasis on
the healing power of breath and continuous sequences. Students will be taken through a
strengthening, fun and creative flow with music. The class will generally
include some pranayama, an energizing solar sequence to cultivate our inner
fire, some playful inversions and arm balances and rounded up with a set of more
lunar, deeper poses. Suitable for all levels.
Vinyasa Flow yoga with Michelle
Mixed Level classes are suitable for students of all abilities,
modifications and alternatives are always provided to suit all levels, offering
an inclusive class where students are encouraged to work safely at their own
pace and level. We will
learn how to establish a deeper awareness of the breath, how to move with the
breath, and there will be an introduction to meditation and relaxation
techniques. We
practice strongly and deeply with intention and humour, exploring ways to further
deepen the experience of yoga, so that we may begin to take it with us more
frequently into our everyday lives.

Uma set up Big Window Acupuncture at Egoist Studios in spring 2011 to be an easy, relaxed space to have treatment in a beautiful setting, at a more affordable price. At Big Window Acupuncture you share a space so the cost for each person is lowered although the treatment is still personal, so you can receive treatment as much as you need to suit your health and lifestyle.
Uma has worked with a wide variety of conditions and has additional training in the specialised techniques of spinal acupuncture and auricular acupuncture. She believes that acupuncture is an excellent tool to help our internal mechanisms readjust and perform optimally. She has a particular interest in the immune system and in investigating how acupuncture can play a supportive role.
